Please join Women in Healthcare and the Maryland Proton Treatment Center to see a new tool in the cancer-fighting toolbox.

The Maryland Proton Treatment Center (MPTC) is the only place in Maryland offering proton therapy, an advanced and precise form of radiation, for treating cancer patients. This therapy is extremely effective for a wide variety of localized tumors, such as those found in the brain, breast, liver, prostate, and elsewhere.

Since proton therapy delivers an increased dose that stops specifically at the tumor site, it protects much of the surrounding, normal tissue. It’s painless, non-invasive and well tolerated, which often leads to fewer side effects now and in the future.
